My name is Claudia Moroni and I am a qualified tourist guide for the region of Lazio. I accompany groups, individuals and families, both Italian and foreign, to the discovery of the territory and its many riches. There are also enabled to practice the profession in the English language.
Be a tourist guide, for me, means first of all to love the land you live in, knowing the history, the art, the culture, the environment and the traditions and be able to transmit this heritage to those who choose to visit it.
It is a fascinating one, and, at the same time, is complex and requires passion, preparation and regular update. Next to the knowledge of the historical and artistic heritage, a guide must know the territory, also from the geographical point of view, and cultural traditions, including those related to the food and wine. Also important are the skills related to the law on tourism and the protection of cultural and environmental heritage.
I like to think of my work as that of a “guardian” of my land: a person who knows his place, he tells the stories, he reveals the secrets and helps to enhance the beauty, with respect and professionalism.
For this I think it is important to rely on a tour guide regularly enabled and equipped for the specific card, professional. Choose a licensed professional means to protect visitors, and ensuring competence, preparation, and compliance with current legislation.
My mission is simple: to raise awareness of a territory through its history, its beauty and its identity, turning any visit into an authentic and unique experience, pleasant and full of meaning.
In this regard, remember that:
- All qualified guides hold a specific identity card;
- Choosing an authorised guide, rather than relying on staff without provincial authorisation, guarantees professionalism and avoids incurring heavy penalties (as set out in current legislation);
- In this respect, the law holds both the provider of tourist services and the client themselves liable.
